Dear music enthusiasts,
As of late, I have been obsessed with Dreams. No, not the ones I have to close my eyes to experience, the ones I have to click on Spotify to. I am yet to meet a Fleetwood Mac or The Cranberries song I haven't loved at first listen, and "Dreams" are no exception.
You know it (you better), you love it (you have to). The second track in their Rumors album has been iconic since its February 1977 release. It exudes '70s vibes and in my opinion, sounds best when it's sunny outside (but that could just be the island girl inside me).
Meanwhile, here's its counterpart. The Fleetwood Mac version talks about lost dreams and the ending of a relationship, but The Cranberries turn those lyrics on their head. Talking instead of falling in love with uplifting and new beats. To me, it should've been in the 10 Things I Hate About You [film] soundtrack, but hey, that's just my opinion.
Anyways, I've had both of these on repeat for the past two weeks and so should you.
Sweet Dreams,
